June, 2011

Apple, the leader in professional video editing for the past decade, released Final Cut Pro X today.  Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing stated, “[This is] the biggest advance in Pro video editing since the original Final Cut Pro.”  The full version of Final Cut Studio retailed for $999 in 2009 but the new version can be found in the Mac App Store for $299.99.  The low price and new features of the software have video professionals extremely impressed with the new product.  One new break-through feature called the Magnetic Timeline takes a first time approach to trackless editing.
