After months of tinkering with games and toiling over spells, Moosylvania and Universal Studios launched Snow White & the Huntsman Conquer the Kingdom, an Internet promotion website on August 31st. Through this labor of love, we discovered that as a web development agency, our developers rarely say anything is impossible, and as a result, these exclusive games are truly one-of-a-kind.

Tricks Of The Trade

Two of the games in particular were uphill battles, if you will. The Dark Forest Photo Hunt seemed like a simple enough concept:

1. Find the raven
2. Capture the raven,
3. Boom, you get a spell

However, our developers and designers had to work together to create a Dark Forest treacherous enough to make it a challenging for users to play. Right away, we discovered that the ravens were indeed hard to find, and we needed a way to magnify the field. But how? Well, that’s where the AnythingZoomer plugin came in handy. It essentially allows us to hide a big image behind the visible field, and the scroll over the visible field to magnify the image by 3X. Neat, huh?! Try finding the ravens yourself, not as easy as you think!

Beware of the Lair

The second challenge for our developer/designer dream team was the Queen’s Lair. Once we figured out the objectives of the game, our gaming connoisseur, developer Joe Madden, had to rely on his old school geometry skills to figure out how close Ravenna’s soldiers had to be within the radius of your sword swing to make contact and complete the kill. We threw in a curveball last minute, creating a grid system that allowed the evil army and flying dagger shards to move laterally and perpendicularly as an added challenge for players. Check out the leaderboard to see how you fair against her evil highness.

You can play all four games (Queen’s Lair, Dark Forest Photo Hunt, Sanctuary Trivia, and Castle Battle) of the realm to receive spells for bravery, quick wit, sharp eyes and allegiance. Each spell earned is another chance to win the enchanted prizes (like an incredible adventure in Ireland). You can re-enter spells into the Mirror every day to increase your odds of winning too!

Conveniently, fans can order their copy of Snow White & the Huntsman to own on Blu-ray™ and DVD. However, if you’re really having serious Charlize Theron withdrawals you can always watch our exclusive videos.

We’ve worked on very fun sweepstakes websites this past year, including The Lorax and Fast Five, but we think players will find Snow White & the Huntsman to be quite addicting in its own right!
