Ideas, Inspiration and a Creative Perspective on Marketing from Inside the Embassy

  1. Gotta show this off — it is just too cool with the sun all rising over the Embassy of The Great State of Design — Moosylvania Marketing.

Wanna see where we work (before we even get there?) Watch this.

Amateur filmmakers, and designers here at Moose, Nick and Ben got here at 5am (IN THE MORNING! This morning!) to shoot this time lapse video. It's just the beginning of what will be showing off the whole of the agency, (the church, the steeple AND all the people….actually, we don't have steeple. Well you get the point.) in a longer video. We'll keep you posted as our in-house artists continue their creation.

  2. Channel 4's Great Day St. Louis came around to our offices to take a look at what MealChime.com is all about.

Great Day St. Louis is a great resource to our town, and we're honored that they've taken notice!

Our team is hard at work getting the MealChime blog ready for launch, and we're expanding our data into Austin, Memphis, Kansas City, Chicago and beyond!

When you visit MealChime.com, be sure to check out our new Alerts feature — it let's MealChime do the work for you — looking for deals and emailing you when the kind of deals you want show up!

  3. As Moosylvania Marketing turned 5 years old a couple months ago, we got quite a present — Hawkeye Managing Director, Rodney Mason!

"We're thrilled to be working with Rodney again," said Cohen. "He's a perfect addition to what we've built here and where we are headed."

Welcome Rodney, to the great state of design!

  4. The St. Louis Businss journal said of it last year when we launched the thing:

"Those Wacky Moosylvanians: Norty Cohen and his gang at Moosylvania Marketing have come up with an
agency pitch that makes fun of agency pitches. Cohen, whose firm
projects revenue north of $12 million this year, calls it "a fun time
waster for marketers sick of the daily pitches." It's an online game
based on old-school gaming techniques, and you can find it at moosylvasion.com."

Give it a shot – and let us know your score!

  5. As part of their "Get a World View" campaign, The Economist
distributed branded pizza boxes through 20 pizzerias in the Greater
Philadelphia area. Each box displays one of a handful of pie charts
that show a statistic related to world food distribution, with an
emphasis on those used in pizza production. They list things like
global wheat consumption, world cheese imports and arable crop land.

  6. We at Moose are very active within our community.

This year, we have teamed up with the Mid-County YMCA to create adorable,  hand crafted holiday
greeting cards. The artwork featured on the cards is one-of-a-kind from the kids
who are involved with the YMCA via daycare, swimming lessons and a variety of
    other after-school activities.

Take a look at these precious designs drawn just for you by lil' aspiring artists at the Y…

For those of you interested in
purchasing some greeting cards, listen up.

They run $15 for 12 cards (pretty
reasonable for first edition masterpieces like these). If your company is interested,
they can participate — $25 for 12 cards and those cards will have a special
printed message noting that their company made a donation to the YMCA (see above image).

  7. This in-depth article in the Biz Journals about Moose's own web startup, MealChime.com, just rolled my way via google alerts this morning.

Plus, it was nice to hear from some of our advertisers, like our neighbor, Boogaloo!

“Small-business owners are constantly looking for ways to reach
potential customers, but most of them are so expensive we can’t do
them,” said Charley Downs, who owns Boogaloo, Cyrano’s, Revival and two
Illinois Imo’s franchises. “This takes my message to a lot more people
    without spending a lot.”

Meal Chime will be launching soon in Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Memphis, Kansas City, Chicago, Denver and Austin, Texas — so wish us luck and look out for coupons!

  8. Patrick McNeil, VP of Interactive and digital design guru here at Moosylvania — also of DesignMeltdown.com — has done us proud.

    He's a top selling author!

Here's what reviewers on Amazon are saying:

"This is a very well organized and inspiring reference book for web
designers. Patrick McNeil did a fantastic job of rounding up a thorough
and eclectic mix of websites. A must have for any web designer.
    "

"This book has a huge selection of design style examples, all organized
in a very intelligent way. The print quality is very good. As a
reference book, this is a must have for any web designer looking for
    some inspiration.
    "

"This book is a great resource for inspiration if you're in a creative
rut. The best part about it is that it's a collection of modern
websites that apply to today's design standards, not some ancient
collection of Web 1.0 artifacts. And there are plenty of examples
    within it.
    "

"This book does just one thing, it showcases beautifully made websites
and the author does this extremely well. The Web Designer's Idea Book
is a must have for any web designer/graphic designer out there to have
real world examples of good design on hand.
    "

Check it out: His book ranks  #4 in the Web Design category and #10 in the Programming category. Top 5 and Top 10, not bad!

    Actually, pretty amazing.

Operation Patrick Book Watch is now in action – right now it's ranked #1,236 overall (in all of Amazon), so check here for all the latest updates as we watch it skyrocket. :)

    Congratulations, Patrick!
